He'd expected some resistance and was relieved at the compliance. There were so many questions clamoring in the recesses of the boy's mind and he couldn't afford to entertain any single one of them at this moment. What a trial that was in itself. If his vision hadn't failed him, this man had originated from inside a computer, but if that were true he shouldn't have a physical form out here in reality. So what was he? How was he? If someone had harnessed the ability to jump into and out of a computer they could gain access to any network and the ramifications for that possibility were daunting. How did he know that this wasn't an accident? Was he falling for the bait? It was then and there that he decided not to make his way to the usual haunts or he would risk exposing that which he most wanted to protect.
Realizing that his current companion was in better condition, Tensai fell back to let him take the lead up the ladder. That visage looked like early cgi- who would still be incorporating that? Not now. He hurried up the ladder behind Bob, and leapt through the same window. "This building is still inhabited?!?" Great. It looked abandoned from the exterior, sound but aged from time. "Wrong window." He seconded then he reached to pull up his hoodie then muttered his own apologies as he charged to the the door that would lead to the hallway. At least these floorplans were never that complicated for apartments. "Won't happen again." This was just going from bad to worse. It might have made more sense to go back out onto the fire escape but they would definitely get spotted if they stayed on that side of the building.
Hopefully Bob would be better at smoothing things over with the lady...
